Many years ago, whenever a parcel needed to be sent, you had to make the trip to your local post office and wait in the queue before being served and finally making your way back home or to the office (after using your entire lunch break normally). However, over the years a mix of events has resulted in the emergence of online couriers that can now offer all the services that the Post Office do, without all the hassle and worry, a combination that has prompted many people throughout the world to use their services.

The post office has never had a great reputation of punctuality and parcels would constantly go missing but with the lack of options available, people just had to grin and bear it unfortunately. This angered many people and resulted in them looking for alternatives to help them out with their parcel delivery. Then came the strikes that occurred in recent times and this was the final nail in the head for many customers and with this coinciding with the arrival on the market of these online couriers, customers moved their attention and tried this new service whenever they needed to send a parcel.

The advantages are clear; a service that is completely online means that there is no waiting in queues and no need for travelling. A simple search online will give you many of the leading providers in the industry and will allow you to find the deal and service that best suits your needs and requirements. The cost, as with everything, is often a huge buying decision and the fact that the online couriers made is so easy to buy followed by great deals was the clinching factor in the whole process. This is something that has only continued to grow over the years and now many people think of the online couriers before they send a parcel.

These couriers that are available online, have their own workforce and distribution centres but also work closely with the leading couriers on the market so that together, they can come up with the leading deals on the market. Added to this, the post office have closed down some of their offices to make cut backs, customers who are now considerably more computer and internet savvy than before are making the most of these deals whenever they are sending parcels abroad or in the UK.
