If you were a little bit under the weather, perhaps with a cold, maybe even the flu or possibly even something worse, something more debilitating and destructive, then you might not feel like doing a whole lot. Instead, youd probably want to pull the blanket over your head and snuggle into your pillow, or head down to your GP for a good dose of something to pep you up. What you wouldnt do is head into work and try to do as many tasks as fast as you can.

So if we can take time off and visit the doctors, why cant our computers? Despite the ever-growing threat of viruses, spyware and malware, many people still dont have up to date anti-virus software, or in some case anything to protect their computers at all. If we knew there was a bug going around, wed think about boosting our immune system or getting an inoculation and its the same with computers...we know the bugs are out there, and rife, so why not inoculate it and protect it as best we can? For some, the lack of good anti-virus software is just a case of being frugal or sometimes even lazy, but for others it is a case of simply not knowing the repercussions. Just like we wouldnt be able to perform were we struck down by a virus, computers are in the same boat and if you dont look into getting the best anti-virus software not only are you going to end up frustrated and annoyed at the performance of your poorly PC, but also risk losing huge amounts of data or corrupting the hard-drive irreversibly.

So give your computer a treat and some well reserved TLC by taking some time to work out which is the best anti-virus software out there.
