Most people who want to earn more are probably looking for a good residual income business opportunity. One may think that good residual income opportunities are hard to come by, but the truth is they are very easy to find. Actually, you can choose your residual income business based on your personal strengths. Before committing to any one venture, make sure it is something you are interested in. For example, if you like fitness and muscle building, you might want to do direct selling of muscle building supplements. If you are a big kitchen buff, you might want try baking pastries and selling them to your neighbors. When choosing a venture, make sure you are good at it. By doing this, you can guarantee the quality of your output because the information and work you do is just second nature you as you are already so used to it.

There are many other things to consider when looking for a secondary job to for extra residual income. But before anything else, you would have to know the rule when it comes to secondary jobs and residual income. The first rule is that you should always put your primary work first. You main job is the job that pays you the highest. This is you main source of income so don't compromise your work for this department of your professional life. The second rule is to follow your available time when picking your working time. Observe the job you will do. When committing to hours, make sure you still leave room for sleep. Do not stress yourself. If you do, you would end up hurting your body, eventually affecting your work for both your primary work and sideline. The third rule is the rule of overlap. Never overlap your main work with your sideline. Don't use primary work resources for your sideline job. More importantly, don't get a sideline job that works against the nature and purpose of your main job. Not only will you be making your job harder; doing so may also be illegal.

Always consider these three rules when trying to earn residual income on top of your main income. If you have to choose between the two, choose your primary job over your secondary job. After all, it pays you higher and it is more stable. This is your main source of income. Your sideline is just there to increase your residual income. When picking your work schedule, balance your time properly. Do not eat up your whole day with just work. Leave ample time for sleep and leisure. You don't have to work a full 8-hour shift for both jobs. Just work full hours for your main job and work part-time or leisurely for your sideline. Lastly, never forget to respect your main employer. Never go behind their backs and work with their competitors. Always keep these things in mind when looking for and choosing residual income opportunities.
